Butler Matrix

A Butler Matrix is a passive analog beamforming network used in phased array antenna systems to generate multiple directional beams. By distributing RF signals with precise phase relationships to each antenna element, it enables electronic beam steering without mechanical movement. Butler Matrices are widely used in 5G, Wi-Fi, satellite communications, radar, and OTA testing to improve coverage, increase spectrum efficiency, and simplify phased array antenna implementation.
